In a previous post from May 21st, I talked about an easier way to use the SUM function with the Alt + = keys (http://anothersetofeyes.biz/excel-bytes/2013/5/16/an-easier-way-to-sum). Here’s another way to use this keyboard shortcut that makes it even easier:
If you have a large table of data that you need to add sum totals to the end or bottom of, such as this:
Just highlight the column or row of cells where you want to enter the totals, and use the keyboard shortcut Alt + = (hold down the Alt key and hit the = sign). Excel automatically enters the =SUM function into all those cells simultaneously:
Excel just keeps getting better!
