N. Just N.

According to Excel, the =N function will convert a non-value number to a number.  It will also return 1 for True and 0 for False.  One obscure usage is to see what number a date is.  Excel stores dates as numbers so they can be used in formulas.  Excel started with January 1, 1900 as day 1.  Here is what July 1, 2013 shows as a number using =N:

So, July 1, 2013 is the 41,456th day since January 1,1900!
