Adding Checks To Your List In Excel

Here is a way to add a check mark to a marketing list of items in Excel.

You can download the file here and follow along. If you get a preview, look for the download arrow in the upper right hand corner.

You may have a marketing list of items that you want to emphasize by adding a check mark after each benefit. For example, I have a list here of what could be benefits for an automobile or hotel room, etc:


One way to accomplish this is to add a capital P in the columns next to the list, and format those cells as Wingdings 2:


And here is the result:


If you don’t have the luxury of an additional column, you can add the “P” to the end of the word or phrase, highlight only the “P” in the formula bar, and just format that letter:


An now the check mark is right after that word in the same cell:
