Find And Delete Blank Rows In Excel

Here’s how to find and delete blank rows from your data range without the use of a mouse:

Here I have a data range that has several blank rows. I want to delete all the blank rows so I have a nice, consolidated data range:


We are going to do this without using a mouse. Here are the steps that we will follow:


Let’s take it step by step:

Highlight the area using Shift + cursor movement keys:


F5 – this will bring up the Go To dialog box:


Alt S – this will select Special:


Alt K – this will select Blanks:


OK – this will select all the blank rows in the highlighted range:


Alt H D R – this will select Delete Rows from the Cells group on the Home tab:


And now we have a nice, clean data range:
