    Hi Mike:
When I try your last example I do not get the menu that is shown for choosing which way to save? I am using Excel 2013 as I think you are. I looked in the options to see if that menu was an option could not see anything that helped??
    Thanks
    Jack

      Jack,
Not sure what to tell you. I use this method almost daily, it’s my preferred method to paste values. You need to hover over the edge of the cell or range of cells you want to paste as values. Then, right-click (not left click), hold and drag the range off then back on to the same spot. That menu should appear. Please try again and let me know what happens.

        Hi Mike:
Thanks for the quick reply. Right click not left click, my mistake.
        Again Thanks
