How To Use Report Connections With PivotTables In Excel

It’s simple to connect several PivotTables to Slicers and Timelines in Excel using Report Connections.

You can download the file here and follow along. If you get a preview, look for the download arrow in the upper right hand corner.

After creating your PivotTables from the same data source, add your Slicers and Timelines.

Then, select each Slicer and Timeline, go to the Options tab:

… and choose Report Connections:

… to select which PivotTables to connect to that Slicer or Timeline:

You can also right-click on the Slicer or Timeline and choose Report Connections from there:
